The author aims at presenting a concept of Russian civil law, namely estate trust management, to international readers who are not familiar with the specifics of Russian law. At the outset, the very essence of estate trust management as a legal means of preservation and administration of the estate property in Russia is clarified. This is followed by an analysis of the distinctive feature of this legal instrument, leading on to various aspects of the said body of modern Russian law which unfortunately still lacks the relevant legal framework and suffers from certain regulatory gaps.
