Welcome to the Brave New World of International Foundations! International foundations genuinely deserve our admiration not only for their remarkable development over the centuries but also for their valiant versatility, which allows them to strive in changing and challenging times.
This fifth year anniversary issue of Private foundations: A World Review fully reflects on and duly acknowledges the latest developments, namely, in Antigua2, where the International Foundations Act became law on 17 January 2009; in Anguilla3, whose Foundation Act entered into force on 12 December 2008; in Jersey4, whose Foundations Law was passed on 22 October 2008 and is expected to enter into force in the first half of 2009 and in Liechtenstein5, whose new Foundation Act entered into force on 1 April
